"A little while ago we decided that we aren't trying to defend a Premiership, we are trying to win a Premiership"

This deosnt surprise me....A reporter asked Tooves a few weeks ago, how hard is it to defend a premiership? and he said the same thing - "we're not trying to defend one, we're trying to win one" I think the lads have put last year to rest and want to focus on winning this year and being able to enjoy the week that follows.

Players of the past and older supporters scoff at the use of Psyche Coaches (as detailed in a SMH report last weekend) but they are a huge advantage for clubs with a good one.

Seems Des took ours with him but the new bloke has bought a fresh approach to the season. It is little pearls of wisdom like the above, more than likely generated by this guy, which appear to have our team maintaining the drive and hunger to go B2B.

Tooves has done a brilliant job in juggling all this, but we really need to reserve a huge thanks not only for the psyche guy, but Donny Singe as well. His balance between positivity and physically smashing the blokes is perhaps unrivalled across the competition at getting the best out of the playing group and is very likely the re-signing by the club in the shadow of Des-gate that ensured a genuine tilt at another title.
