Integrity once again goes out of the window!

It appears that the Melbourne drizzle are intending to rest up to 10 players for their clash against the Cowboys!

If this happens, its just another piece of the games integrity going out of the window! Their decision now gives the cowpokes an unfair advantage as they are battling us for a 6th spot finish and hosting the elimination semi final.

It concerns me that the NRL tolerate this and it undermines the league.

This is just going to open the door for other teams to do it too. The Drizzle say they earned the right to do this, I understand resting injured players but to do this well smacks of manipulation, just look at the odds for that fixture now compared to a week ago!

I’m ok with it, don’t think it’s got anything to do with integrity. If you are worried about finishing a certain place because a team rested some stars then you are already in trouble.
Completely agree. We should have won at least 2 more games this year making this irrelevant. We are in control of our own destiny and if we can’t beat the cowboys (all be it in Townsville) we won’t do any damage against top 4 teams later on in the finals.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Manly don’t get the two points against the Dogs Seibold gives a few players a rest in the Sharks game..

Bellamy's side is reminiscent of Manly's team v Souths when we had bulk first graders missing.
He's picked a centre/winger at halfback and another winger at second row.

Those players that he’s brought in from Q-Cup have been doing a good job.
Make no mistake, Bellyache will be yelling at them that this is their time to shine. And if you want to be at the Storm next year, then this is the game that will make that happen.

I wish the Tigers rested players last week, they may have if the spoon was a fait accompli, but as they had a chance of crawling up the ladder, they put on their best squad and we had no hope

It’s definitely an interesting issue, especially from the perspective of gambling.

Also the Cowboys fans who bought tickets weeks or even months ago & have to travel a few hours to get to & from the game would be pretty pissed off too.

I think a win, irrespective of the quality of the opposition would alleviate any feelings of being pissed off.
