Yes but a different body shape. I saw young Turbo play centres in 20’s last year and he physically was not up to it. Ideally turbo, shuster and hoppa would all be playing 20’s and then for Blacktown now. But unfortunately Covid took care of that.

I think if we are honest we are lucky we are not 1/4. How they won the Roosters and Broncos games I still don’t know and although we got dudded on the last pass Parra were the better side - but it did show guts. Hard to see us beating Canberra with weakened side but 3/3 is ok given our draw gets a lot easier.

I’m a big DCE fan but his performances are pretty worrying to be honest. I was expecting a lot more this year with a fit roster and it’s been pretty ordinary .

I hope it’s just rust due to this crazy season but unless our disjointed organization in attack improves via DCE it will hard to improve on last years heroics.

I think Des will put Croker at 6. Thought he was good the other night. Would love to see Schuster somewhere in side. He may get the 14 jumper this week as Canberra are a lot smaller and mobile pack than they once were.

Cannot disagree with much of that and yes it stands out like dogs balls that Cherry is only good when he’s got a great 5/8 to take the pressure off him ( which is why he excels at SOO).

Dylan frustrates me and now is a perfect opportunity to move him to his favoured position and bring in a proper 5/8, yes maybe Cust.

I’d play Froggy as the second hooker.

Can’t see us beating the Raiders BUT strange things have been happening in this new world so you never know.

Des is not renowned for major changes. I would think one change only and that would likely be Elliot in for Suli. The issue in the side is in the halves but not sure we will see any changes there either. Would love to see the DCE / Walker combination twigged around with Walker at half and Cherry at 5/8. Now that would be interesting with a running half and an organising 5/8.

But the main thing is barely any loss of life in relative terms.
We seem to have wood on Raiders so who knows. If Wighton out we right in it. He is the most improved player in last two years. Superstar .

The issue for me is that Walker has always looked flaky while defending at centre. He seemed to make poor decisions and his tackles often don't stick (even in the games he played there last year).

He missed 6 tackles playing at 5/8 on Thursday in the centre of the field. So how is he going to make 1 on 1 tackles stick to shut down raids like Suli and Parker?

He and DCE haven't clicked in the halves yet this year so I would like to see how/if the lineup gets changed this year.

Yes you are right. Des can be very creative. Hoping to see that creativity with our halves. Current configuration not working so either he keeps persisting with fingers crossed and a prayer......or gets creative. Nice and early in the season so plenty of time for some creativity. Some good options there.

Remember is wasnt that long ago both Cust and Crocker were given plenty of games at 5/8 and failed big time, they didnt even play an organisational type player, left all that to cherry and did more a running game, which frustrated dce even more. Yes, takes time to be good at that position and maybe worth a re-look in one of our current halves gets injured, but cannot see Dez changing the current set up.

Dylan has been pretty good at 5/8, really dangerous on that left and has set up a lot of tries and is better defending in the middle. Gets caught in two minds whether to run or pass, especially on the last which he admits he needs to get better.

Dce hasnt been that off, people expect him to be brilliant every game, he was best on field in that second half against brisbane, same against parra - still think working out his game with dylan and hooker and they are getting the 5th play wrong. Sometimes Levi dummys to him on the last when DCE is set up for the 5th play kick!

You watch Cam smith on Sat night and he was instrumental in his sides win, most good hookers are. DCE has looked better when Crocker has come on - more in sync, and always looked good when Fainu was on the park. Just need to keep working on the 1,6,7 and 9. Hopefully Fainu can return eventually and we utilise crocker as he could turn into a useful hooker with strong defense and a kick out of dummy half.

For those of you who say schuster, well he doesnt seem the player that is an organising type. More a big version of cliffy, or even Fainu. More of an instinctive type of player, would run to the line with ball out in front, or in one hand, step, off load, throw a big cut out etc Very attacking player, but would sit back at times and wait for his big play. Not even sure he will play 5/8, i reckon off the bench to start in the forwards
