I agree with all that.

What I don't understand is that ratings are up, attendance is up, money pouring in....so therefore logically more people clearly think the product is better.

I do fear we are a few more rule tweaks away from following Rugby Unions slide into irrelevancy.

They're trying to turn the game into the likes of basketball in the US, where they have constant turnover of possession, & have buzzers, bells & countdown timers going off all the time as well as songs during stoppage of play.

That one I understand. The answer is Yeo is an untouchable golden child who can simply do no wrong. To send him to the sin bin is unthinkable. I was surprised Tom wasn’t penalised for attacking the arm of an opponent with his nose.

A lot less pressure than a cop from the Tactical Armed Response Group, also not being a body contact sport it's not unusual to have a career span of over ten years, more than the majority of footballers.

Sometimes I feel am I and the referees watching the same game? There's just no common sense in the NRL.

All the NRL need do is send off a player if they do a deliberate attack to the head and penalise a player if they do a careless tackle to the head that causes obvious injury.

Everything else should not be acted on during the game. Leave it to Monday for the match review people.
