They're trying to turn the game into the likes of basketball in the US, where they have constant turnover of possession, & have buzzers, bells & countdown timers going off all the time as well as songs during stoppage of play.I agree with all that.
What I don't understand is that ratings are up, attendance is up, money pouring in....so therefore logically more people clearly think the product is better.
I do fear we are a few more rule tweaks away from following Rugby Unions slide into irrelevancy.
For me neither deserved the bin.....Trying to remove my Manly bias here - but I'm still shaking my head at Yeo not being binned and TKO getting 10 minutes.
That one I understand. The answer is Yeo is an untouchable golden child who can simply do no wrong. To send him to the sin bin is unthinkable. I was surprised Tom wasn’t penalised for attacking the arm of an opponent with his nose.Trying to remove my Manly bias here - but I'm still shaking my head at Yeo not being binned and TKO getting 10 minutes.
It’s Aussie dollars, not Canadian francs.I thought it was damn good. Albeit I’m not a billionaire like you!!!
Plus coaches can’t complain in interviews any more so… well it seems like a lot
Depending on the pecking order, the top two or three would earn money around that figure.I thought someone said refs get 300k a year.
So that can buy them the therapy they may need.
A lot less pressure than a cop from the Tactical Armed Response Group, also not being a body contact sport it's not unusual to have a career span of over ten years, more than the majority of footballers.Jeez for the pressure they are under it’s not huge money is it
An officer of the Tactical Response Group is respected.A lot let pressure than a cop from the Tactical Armed Response Group
Wasn’t bill harrigan both?An officer of the Tactical Response Group is respected.
Can't say that about a referee.
He was, but then again Bill wasn't getting anything near 300k,probably a couple of thousand a gameWasn’t bill harrigan both?
All the NRL need do is send off a player if they do a deliberate attack to the head and penalise a player if they do a careless tackle to the head that causes obvious injury.
Everything else should not be acted on during the game. Leave it to Monday for the match review people.
