Broncos great Corey Parker has slammed the report players are 'unhappy' with Michael Maguire's training methods suggesting the group need to buy into the new coach's methods after last year's disaster. Maguire was introduced as the new Broncos coach when it appeared standards had slipped at the club in 2024 after missing out on the top eight.

Parker went further and claimed if players aren't happy with the pre-season then they don't need to represent the Broncos. "I would assume it would be along the lines of 'if you aren't happy that's ok, there is the door'. Because if you want what you got last year...continue to do the same thing," Parker said. "Now they have got a different result, in the way of a circuit-breaker with Maguire. Trust in the process.

I love this new Tough Broncos Attitude...
The NRL is a tough game and you need players with a tough mentality to Win All the Way

The moral of the story ....
When the going gets tough
The tough get going
and the weak whingers are shown the door

Bet they're missing Kevvie now. Training was more like a laidback grade 7 school athletics carnival under Kevvie. Interesting times ahead for the Donks. Watch this space I guess...

I will watch this one as the season goes on...when was the last time Madge has sustained success outside of one off / short series?

Like it or not players have moved on and there are very few successful coaches in any code with that sort of attitude.

Also lets not forget it is most likely a beat up!

What makes me want to vomit is when I hear Manly coaches saying how proud they are of their players after team a loss . Proud after losing .... That is Endorsing Loses .

All the lazy boys like to be in the comfort zone of soft coaches and soft coaches create a soft culture
But as we all know comfort zones are the Mother of All failures
The Broncos Club has set its Tough standards
I believe most players will accept the clubs High expectations and inspire the rest
I agree with you @Eagle 1 . Watch this space
and Watch the Broncos soar into the top 4

Hard over training can sometimes leave a team physically flat at the start of a season also.
Will be interesting to see if the players have bought into Madges coaching style, he hasn't had a lot of success at club level just that short stint at Souths. We'll see soon enough tho.

Thank you for your perspective views feathered friend

This is my view
Madge broke a 40 year premiership Winning drought at Souths
He also broke Wining Droughts with NSW and The NZ National team and those winning droughts were not one off games . They were Winning match series

For the tough mental and physical tactics to work a coach needs to work with tough players that can handle this tough military approach . Or have the desire and Hunger to win like Madge does

The Military is the Benchmark of turning Boys into Tough Men in order to have the mental and physical toughness to Defend a Nation and not just a try Line at a footy game

I agree with you .We will soon see soon enough what the Broncos players are made of

Blokes that start whinging at Hard training
I have the perfect game for them
They should play a more passive game like snooker

You can not be soft and Play a Hard Brutal game like NRL and expect to Win a Title
Tough players Win Titles

Pound for pound the toughest player Ever
The Legendary Premiership Winning Sea eagle
Name not Necessary as he is well Known in the NRL

What a coach says to the idiot media crew and to us sausage roll eating numpties is irrelevant unless you know what he is saying to the playing group or individuals.
Are you privy to this?
Please inform of us of what he says to the players if you are.
Playing the media game is important as they are waiting like vultures to turn any phrase against us,you don't want them to do that do you?

As far as the Media goes . Where there is smoke there is fire and there is a degree of truth to this media story feathered friend

Hilarious! try googling losing coach still proud - I found these in 30 seconds!
(But you do you, so - vomit away!)

2015 - Storm lost to North Queensland Cowboys 32-12 in the preliminary final on Saturday night. Bellamy said, "I'm pretty proud of the players for getting where they've got to”

2024 - Craig Bellamy was proud of his side for coming back from 14-0 down, but ultimately was left frustrated after their 14-12 loss to the Knights.

Oct 2024 - after the 14-6 defeat, Bellamy admitted the better side won on the night, despite being proud of his players' efforts

2014 - No Premiership this year but Penrith Panthers coach Ivan Cleary is proud of the club's big turnaround in a season of ups and downs.

Trent Robinson has championed his charges following the Tri-Colours' resounding 42-6 semi-final defeat at the hands of Manly that closed that the book on the club's 113th season.

"I just said to them we're a greater Roosters club than what we were at the start of 2021. They've done our club proud," he continued. "I'm just incredibly proud of the staff and players
