I think the Whare release was possibly to help acquire Shakleton in order to offset the retirement of Joe at the end of the season.


I'm also still trying to work out how we would have $500,000 to throw at T-Rex, when that was the approx reported sum we paid for each of our halves..
I hope you guys are right cause I'd be thinking in the ball park of 350 and that would include the loss of Ballin and possibly the wolfman.

TBH I think that Wolfman is as good as gone. When a club is as pressed for cap space as Manly is, it's hard to see them upping for an expensive winger when they have guys like T-Rex & Matt Ballin off contract.

Wasn't it reported we offered $1.2 million for 3 years to T Rex and dogs were offering $1.6 million for 3. An extra 130000 a year. Its a lot to turn down just to play with your mates and a living lifestyle. I'd say he will probably go.

IIRC T-Rex still lives in Western Sydney. Also, coming from Parra originally, I'd say that he has quite a few mates at the club.
