Did the "mature" thing and slept through it as I did a moronic thing and accepted overtime for tonight awhile back. So missed that and now our game is tonight 🤦🏻‍♂️

10am here, young fellas footy game kicks off 10:10am I'm not having much luck this Series! But I'll just do "Watch from start" when I get home, after turning my app notifications off! Get me every time those things, even watching "live" you get a notification, naturally look at your phone and about 5:secs later someone scores.

I feel for ya on the basis that most manly games start at the 2am - 3am over here.

Though as you're an oilers fan...my feelings are limited (lol)

I like ghosts (the tv show)

It was a good job to tie with 20 seconds to go.

Hard to take rat-face Marchand scoring the game winning goal (gwg). ugh.

Bennett finally got a penalty for being a pos.

3-2 (edm) after the first, but a shart handed goal (shg) and another one in the second hurt.

Well...1-1 and off to florida.

Interesting how the 2 teams in the finals are almost the longest distance from each other.

That traveling must really wear everyone down.
It'd be top class and as efficiently run as possible but no matter what that's a hell of a haul. Especially if you're behind in a series!

A bit like a lot of shows, there's a uk version...then the US does one.

I preferred the us one (like the office, never liked the uk one) - but I must admit I'm getting tired of the us one as well.

the travelling may wear one down would but don't forget, all of these teams have private jets so they ain't slummin' it in economy!

Even with favorable tailwinds, it will require more than five hours in the air. With customs and transit to and from the airports, it’s an all-day affair.

But this is different. Nobody is crammed into a middle seat. There are no unruly passengers. The food is plentiful and abundant.

“We eat like seven meals a day,” Florida coach Paul Maurice said of his team’s charter before playing in Game 2. “So, it’s as good and as easy as it possibly can be. You take the bus, you get off the bus, you get into the same seat, you can do whatever you need to do.”

Long story short - got home from work and daughter said words to the effect of "crikey how 'bout the Oilers?"
I turned all my notifications off for the last game and they were still off while I blissfully went about my day at work (looking at that score all I can say is thank God!)


Then my daughter called me a "fake fan", I couldn't argue.

On to Game 4!

It was a good one to miss if you're an oiler fan.

something like 120mins worth of penaties handed out. oilers - 70 florida - 50 (approx)

replaced the goal halfway through the third (should've been much sooner)

But they just got totally 'florida-ed'.

Let then get niggled, bullied, riled up. ugh. It wasn't good.

It was like playing a team full of Brad Marchand's. Got away with everything as surprise surprise the refs called sfa until fights broke out.

7am CPR/LVR refresher Course on OT.
Could take between 20mins or 1.5hr depending on instructor.
Quick takeaway hit on way home, should be comfortably in lounge for 10am drop.
