Hiku

Has anybody noticed how many penalties HIku gets for us. Seems to generate more penalties than any other Manly player, particularly in our half. Would love to see stats on this.

I suspect it's due to his late footwork and size. Half slices through lines, gets up quickly, defenders try to keep him down, he gets us the penalty.

This is another reason why Hiku is a star in the making, albeit better suited at five eighth or lock in coming years as he fills out. He's got the frame to play closer to middle after a few years on wing.

Getting up quick is such an advantage. If the tackler is draped all over you and you are trying to get to your feet, you'd be very unlucky to not get a penalty most times. And considering this usually comes off the back of the other teams kick/chase, those penalties that gets you out of your own end are huge
