Hasler's attitude

In this mornings Telegraph Brad Fittler was quoted as saying Des Halser told him he was happy just 'competing' with Melbourne.  If this is the attitude of the coach then we should accept second place and be done with it.  I'd like to think we can do more than just 'compete' with the Storm.  I'd like to think Hasler thinks we can beat the mongrels.  C'mon Des, fire up the attitude.  Don't settle for 'competing', but winning, or just leave.

If you believe that then Santa Claus is real. Manly have been silently seething all year and want the chance to get stuck into them this time.

It is the Telegraph of course - that well known purveyor of accuracy and truth.

Hasler has all year been going with "under the radar" philosophy, he ain't going to change that at this stage of the season, and that would include a statement such as that.
