Manly have made the Grand Final in the Harold Matthews Shield having defeated Parramatta in the semifinal 30-24. They have a big job next week taking on favourites Newcastle who have already given them a beating. But they are there and with Albert Hopoate at full back and young Ben Trbojevic in the forwards ( both scored a try in today's match), they are in with a strong chance.

No I didnt watch it and a shame its not telecast on Fox. Maybe someone who was at the ground could give us a detailed summary.

Sorry guys. Didnt realise there was another section on the Matthews semi. Great to see a Manly junior squad making good. Hope Manly tie some of these guys up before the Roosters and Dogs start taking nibbles as they regularly do.

According to Wiki Manly has never won an SG Ball or HM comp in the 40-50 years they've been running.
We've never made a HM grand final.
I recollect when Hoppa played in SG Ball (around 1991) they did pretty well and may have lost in the GF. I remember them being paraded around Brookie at half time in 1sts.
