Yeah, but that means you get a point for losing a game, and if that game was the last game of the season that point could leapfrog a team that was depending on either of the two golden point teams losing, for a semi final spot.

You get a point for a draw after full time regular time. Draws are very rare. So I like the idea that you still end up with a point. And who ever wins in the extra time gets an additional point. Not 3 points they would have gained after a regular game time win. Or like you said we revert to 1 point for a draw.

I just wrote in to the NRL saying that they should give it a shot in 2025. In my opinion, it is too easy to kick a field goal and/or penalty goal. 10 minutes of extra time, if no one scores a try, it’s a draw.
