Going out on top

When was the last time a player retired after playing for Australia in his final year? Can't have happened too many times. Also an indication that BK still has years left in him if he wanted. Is there even a 1% chance we could get him to play for another year?

Don't know if it's money or mood that's leading him to retire. But he's probably got 2 years left in him after this one, if he wanted.

I'm praying.

I know people who played sport as a kid. Until maybe 18 or 20. Who else can remember the dislocated shoulders, bunged up knees or ankles?

Does it still cause the pain? I can vouch for both shoulders and I tell you, if that happenes playing junior sport then the blokes smashing each other every week for 12 - 13 years would be worse.

Sometimes you get to the point where waking up with that niggling back injury or streching out the old legs before getting out of bed just isn't worth it anymore.

You may as well stop before it becomes to much to bare or you get that one injury that'll stick with you to the final days.

BK knows better than anyone what his body can handle and I take my hat off to him for not crumbling under the pressure of playing another season because he's in good form.
