As I've posted we would have beaten them with Glenn and Matai in the team. They are not invincible as with the Goons. I watched the Goon v Chooks game and the Chooks had them on the ropes, but didn't have the smarts to smash through their 'impregnible' defense. Hard straight running would have done the trick. The Chooks had no power in their sets near the line. That's how the Sharks beat them.

Thing about the Goons is they just ride it out then smash you at the back-end of games

You're right again Susan, I meant Brett. We had very little penetration in that game.

Brett played as well I think but I agree totally re penetration that night.We looked hopeless in attack which was caused most angst to fans.Things have changed with combinations.The actual result doesnt look to bad on the face of it with Scum flogging sides down there but I am yet to be convinced that Storm has any where near the depth to be real contenders.8 out 11 to start at home and 2 byes for origin will give them a legup but wont be enough. Also agree that Matai is a real game changer for us with his dummy half running and straight line running.Without him we tend to crab a little and if he plays instead of Williams we go very close in that game.
