RE: Choc 'forced' out of Manly - family gutted

I loved what he did for us and I will never forget. I just won't ever cheer for him again.
Like you and all of us, I thought Watmough was one of the great, courageous Manly forwards of all time. He just destroyed his legend and loyalty to club forever, in those last few weeks of the 2014 comp, with poor attitude and acts of division. And respect of the club with the trashtalk post season - culminating in his move to Parra.
Except for Coach Hasler's Judas, 2-faced, back-stabber, overnight move to the Dogs, the day after the 2011 Grand Final win, I can't think of another Manly player in our 68-year history, who's tarnished their reputation so badly, after leaving.
Fulton, Phil Blake, Vautin, Shearer, Beaver, Mick Robertson, Brent Kite & Gifty all left Manly and remain club legends because they are honorable men who never lost their dignity by badmouthing Manly after leaving.
Watmough (and Hasler) do not rate as decent blokes. I will never
respect those two.
