As we were without DCE, Jrbo, Koula, Paseka…..Yes it’s important to remember that Newcastle were without the services of ‘Never say die’ Gagai, Best and Ponga in that game.

Turbo calling the shots really helped Garrick. I fear DCE's erratic organisational skills will only slow Reubs' progress.Great game but he was marking up on a reserve grade second rower playing his 2nd NRL game and first one this season. His attack in the centres hasn't really been the criticism on him (outside of his passing game which has been much improved in the last couple of weeks, credit to him there) but his defence wasn't tested at all on Sunday, it will be a different challenge against an inform Titans side this week, and the Roosters the week after who are probably the most dangerous attacking team in the comp.
Do think he got much better ball in space with Turbo running the show so will be interested to see how this looks with DCE back in the side.
Yeah but i am pretty sure foz and schu were feeding the ball to Tom on that left side in 2021?Having Turbo functioning effectively at full back helps DCE to concentrate on his game rather than having to do all the creative work. Remember 2021. Both Turbo and DCE were scoring at will and both easily had the most try assists in the games during that period. DCE is fine when he has confidence in his outside men.

Brooksy is going to have to play straight and engage the line a little deeper with perhaps Browny playing the link man? The other option is Jake but he tends to play first receiver and probs does not have the leg speed to play Schu's role (wow, I totally see the irony in that statement)
Now that I think about it bear, Lawnton or Burbo probs play that link man role that Schu performed... the other option is Waddell but he is down in the pecking order...I agree with that Frank. The Foran-Schuster link assisted greatly. I think Brooks has a big job here , but he's a clever kid, and they have an advantage over 2021 in having an outstanding and very fast three-quarter line up. That year they had Turbo (on fire) Saab (still very inexperienced but fast) Parker (tried hard but slow), Harper (rocks and diamonds and reasonably quick) Garrick, Foran and DCE. I think this back line, Turbo, Junior Hoppa, Garrick, Talau, Saab (much more reliable), Brooks and DCE with Koula to come in is superior to that '21 back line. I think the forwards are more dynamic and better balanced. This side is a better side even despite the Foran-Schu combo than the '21 side. Just needs to have a few less injuries. If they can avoid injury they could impress in the final rounds.
Absolutely toweled up Brian Kelly today. Best game for Rueben this year so farRueben better today. It was our left side that was loose today.

Koula should be a winger. Reubs is a better player at centre than koula.Winger at best.
That was great to see. Kelly is a little grub. I love seeing his snarling, chip on the shoulder visage on the losing side, vs Manly.Absolutely toweled up Brian Kelly today. Best game for Rueben this year so far
