Nothing wrong with a pie at the footy. Its nostalgic and has the possability IF heated to be comforting on a chilly winters day/night.

BUT

Most footy games are played at dinner times in the new ages. . A pie at 3 pm on a sunday arvo with a beer was great when footy was an arvo game.then home for dinner

Ffs stadiums move on. Brookie is a boutique stadium apparently. Yep boutique means do you want tractor smash with your rat coffin. The problem is the small stadium mentality, not the size of the grandstand.

I still remember the first time I got a pie with my Canadian better half at the footy. She couldn't have looked more surprised or confused if an alien spaceship landed on the field.

To her, a meat pie at a sports venue was the most bizarre thing ever.
