Friends of our "purchased" their first home a few years ago when the first home grant was $14k.  The house cost them $10k and they had $4k change for renovations and improvements!

on a $10K house they made $5k but then they would have spent more on fuel groceries etc!

Matas wasn't the 14k FHOG back in the day for building, much like the 21k these days and the 14 for existing dwellings?

I don't know for sure, I only got the 7 a couple of years back.

Gordon Estate's houses are going for $70k or so for 3/4 bedroom brick.  The only problem is the owner/occupier clause on purchase!  It'll probably end up being similar in Kelso.

Parts of Kelso are already that bad.

But its a big suburb.
