First coach sacked.

Bellamy’s lost a game too

#Belldud
I like you Mark, I really do.

Bellamy has proven himself over his entire career. Robbo, Ivan, Bennett, Bellamy, and to a lesser extent Stuart, Hasler and McGuire have all won premierships. They have all won big games over a long period even though they go through a dry spell. They have proven themselves capable.

It buys them more time.

Sacking O’Brien or Seibold after round seven, especially when their teams reached the semi-finals last season, may not be justified.

Early-season struggles can stem from various factors, including injuries, fixture difficulties, or issues not directly related to coaching performance.

Prematurely dismissing the coach could disrupt team dynamics and morale, ultimately hindering performance in the long run. It may be more prudent to give the coach a chance to recalibrate and demonstrate their capabilities over a longer period.

A couple on that list could have an asterisk
eg McGuire inherited a Souths side featuring the likes of Inglis, Sam Burgess, reynods sutton, possibly even should have won it earlier. Ditto Sticky walked into a gift-wrapped premiership.
Both are decent coaches but ...
but...
Both have won wooden spoons... (which for some of our Silvertails intelligentsia clearly means they are crap coaches!!!!!!!

True, but Ricky also was robbed in the GF in 2019 and McGuire made history in winning last year's SOO, and he took NZ all the way at International level. There spoons came after their success and was followed by more success. Siebold managed to take a very good Souths squad to a prelim where they were beaten. The following year he goes to Brisbane while Bennett comes to Souths where they almost beat Penrith in the GF despite missing Latrell Mitchell.

Spoon has no success preceding his failure. And mediocrity is what has come afterwards.

We are one loss to being 3rd last on points.
We play the Broncos
Broncos been in as bad a form as us.

Big game, one club will keep its head just above water the other shifts to full blown crisis.

Lose this week and then we have Newcastle at Newcastle where we always struggle; if DCE makes an announcement after Origin we could implode for the rest of the season and finish with our first spoon.

Siebold is simply not Manly DNA.

We are 3 points away from being last and that includes a BYE.

So its time for the GOODBYE for this myth of a gurgling coach.
