Favourite Team

Eadie was an incomparable fullback. 20 tests (could've and should've been many more), 7 GF appearances including one (1978 replay) when he was so clearly the best player on the field - by a long way. After that game everyone was lauding him as one of the greatest fullbacks ever.

Over 200 1st grade games and the record for the most points in all grades that stood for more than two decades until (I think) Andrew Johns broke it.

Brett Stewart is a great fullback, but he is still well short of Eadie in terms of achievements on the field, apart from his tryscoring feats.

My favourite team is not necessarily the team I think has been our best and is based on players since about 1987.

1. B. Stewart (though I was a massive fan of Ridge)
2. C. Hancock
3. S. Matai
4. J. Lyon
5. M. Robertson (how could you go past the bloke that scored 3 tries in a GF and then handed #4 to Beaver?)
6. C. Lyons
7. G. Toovey
8. I. Roberts
9. D. Hasler (yeah, I hate the bloke now but as a player he was damn good)
10. M. Carroll
11. D. Gartner
12. S. Menzies
13. N. Kosef

14. A. Watmough
15. G. Stewart
16. D. Gillespe
17. B. Kennedy

Yeah, there's too many back rowers but I couldn't go past the back row of Kosef Gartner and Menzies but we've had so many great 2nd rowers, especially in the last 20 years.

My favourite team is the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles 😛
