Fastest Player and Team

Maybe bias but I have the Saab mobile equal to Fox over 50m, but would win well over 100m as the 2 quickest individuals.
This Fidow is another flyer, along with Johnstone and Illawarra winger Ramsay moves well also.
As a team I think Manly again are quick across the park with DCE 1 of the faster 7's...Tom T rarely is run down and the backrowers in Schu and Lawton have pace....Harper is sharp, but no speedster and Garrick can motor also...with Parker the Only (slow) back we have....well there's old Foz, but he is quick between the ears.
Souths are also dynamic with speed to burn.....what's the thoughts both as individual players and overall teams speed....I look forward to Bozo's take, truth be known he inspired this thread

Saab wins over 40+ metres. Over shorter distances I'd have Papy as the quickest. Cook, Ponga, Hammer and Chez have very good acceleration over the first 10-20m. Fastest team is tough, probably Storm just ahead of us and the Roosters. Interesting that the Panthers don't have many out and out speedsters. When Saab puts the after burners on Harper looks like he is stuck in the mud.

Every time Saab is put away down his flank, Morgan just smiles and doesn't bother to chase hard.

Honestly all I want in life (massive over exaggeration but still) is a 100m sprint on GF day.

2 heats of 8 before kickoff and a final of 8 at halftime.

Two GF clubs put up someone out of the 18 or a junior.

25k to the player, 25k to a charity of the players choosing and 50k to the club.

Get a sponsor to cover the race.

Fans would love it.


And I dont want to hear about injurys as clearly we wouldnt run Turbo haha

I’d love to see Jason Saab and Xavier Coates run full pelt over 100m and 400m. I think the results would be interesting

In my mind Saab would beat Fox easily over 100m but over 50 it might be close. When the big boy Saab hits top stride he looks every inch a top track and field athlete not just a fast footballer. Think he'd have Coates well covered.
