For all Les Boyd fans follow the link and remember his great career, hope you enjoy!

PS Happy Birthday Dan :)

He was a tough little mongrel, and he was a victim of the times!

Good stuff wheel

Plenty of research into those mate, I bet the funk and wagnels get a work out :)

Obviously not very busy at work wheel. And on a Friday too. What happened did the pubs forget to open in the city today?

A new one on Rex 'the moose' Mossop has just gone up.

No mention of when he was hit in the head by the apple at bear park while commentating or his famous comment when performing a citizens arrest on the nudist at 40 baskets beach?

I think it was wise to leave out any mention of his sons.

I thought about adding the apple incident but I couldn't remember the details of the game etc - I thought it was at Parramatta?

The less said about his sons the better, however Kirk was a good bloke just slightly misguided 8|

Yes the reef beach arrest was a classic

Great read. I used to love Rex's tautologies, mixed metaphors and the way he mangled the English language. I will have to try and remember a few. He was a passionate commentator, loved the Eagles and will go down in infamy for the Reef Beach track incident!!!!

It could have been the old Parra stadium and not NSO. I still remember seeing him sitting there in his lumber jacket and then being hit by the apple. he just had this shocked look on his face for a couple of seconds then it changed to i will kill whoever did that.

In a way you couldn't blame his sons too much for their problems. he would have been a hard person to live with and I recall someone asking him what were the most importatnt things in life and in order he said his wife, his dogs and his sons.

When you get rated behind the dogs you know you are struggling.

its a shame what superleague did to him he was a great player and one I grew up watching and admiring

Donny's heart will always lie at The Bears - He told us so himself at the Manly versus Souths game @ Nth Sydney Oval in 2004.
