Just heard on the wireless that Eric Grothe jnr has retired
He couldve been a great player but his head was never in it

He's been retired for years.  Always good for a try or two with just a little kick in behind him.  He couldn't resist rushing up.  Hopeless.

Indeed you're right there. But nhow he's officially retired and won't be playing any more NRL games. Parra seems to be chasing Chris HIcks and they're also chasing after Matt King, well now that Tahu and Grothe are gone, they might jsut do that. Still why on earth are they signing all these 30+ year old guys?

I think it's because they're desperate, there's no-one else on the market, and their current lot of juniors are crap. And yet i don't feel sorry for them.

Started last year as hot faves for the Premiership, missed the 8, finished 12th, dumped the coach, Board still in disarray, losing players all over the park, world's best player 😉 now pretty ordinary and a pile of old-timers hoping for a glimpse of glory that is not going to happen. I like it.
