Agree that's why I will wait for official announcement. Myles isn't getting resigned and I hear Bird will be back in newcastle he's at least being shopped around) so they should have a heap of dollars.

No they won't get one for less than 300k when they've paid 1.2mil for DCE. Bird might have to play 5/8th.

Apparently PSM are LG management company (owned by Gavin and Chris Orr), but Orr himself is not LG manager, Tas Bartlett is. Apparently it was Tas in that meeting.

Myles manager is Chris Orr.

This is how negotiations go isn't it? The manager leaks the impending signing story to squeeze more from the lower bidder. Then leaks the meeting with the lower bidder to squeeze more from the higher bidder. Meanwhile the player denies all shenanigans to remain innocent and squeaky clean.

I doubt our leak is the current leak.

Weren't they reporting that this mornings announcements would only refer to re-signings (check) and Elgey would be announced "later today" or later this week?

If that's the case we are still on track. It could just be his manager informing the club of Elgey's decision as a matter of courtesy. I highly doubt this breaks then minutes later the manager immediately comes in to negotiate a better deal at the Tits. It just doesn't work that way. If it happens the dust needs to settle on his deal with us before they would come back with something.

I also would think that the clubs would strike some arrangement whereby its we agree hands off DCE for them doing the same with Elgey & poss Myles...

I'm just waiting for something more credible than RLW Mole until I hear it from the player the club or his manager.

Moley went from deal not quite done to 10 minutes saying he has signed and the player himself saying he has not signed.

I'm thinking it's still 50/50 at this stage. Our offer is the best no doubt about that so I'm not bagging our management it is up to him if he wants to join us.

You might find that desert boots was correct as this sounds like a ploy by his manager to get the gold coast to up their offer as he doesn't want to leave them.
