Egrets, I've had a few...(musings and some pics)

@globaleagle Sorry to hear mate .... but sounds like it was time ...... best wishes ...

PSS bet that grumpy old white bastard misses him ...

Thanks Mr Woodsie. To be clear Jake was a neighbours dog but the two were best friends and Jake often wandered over, ate Terra's kibble and lay down under the table (we couldn't believe Terra would let anything eat her kibble) but she is 15 1/2 years herself so maybe she is now more chill...plus I don't think she likes kibble!

cheers

Hi @globaleagle I hope you dog gets over the shepherd and doesnt suffer without his mate.
It sucks that pets die on us, but we are there for their whole life.

We went to the owners place last night to keep her company (and have dinner) and she wanted our dog to come on over.

Our doggo was a bit confused and annoyed when she could smell Jake and knew she was at his place but he wouldn't come out and say hi - which was sad to watch.

15 mins later she was asleep, which was better.

20 mins later she was up and begging for food. (damn guts!)

Bloomin' 'eck!

Just went through my first earthquake.

Ok so it was 1.5 seconds long and only the windows rattled but I've never been through one before (even though I live in a 'high risk' area - great.)

Upon reflection....

Earth tremor would be more accurate.

Wuss.

I had dinner with some canadian and germans the other day and I 'stole' the fork handles joke from this sketch.

they absolutely pissed themselves.

Timeless comedy!

So a couple of mins ago my better half comes up to me and says: "I need to do a load of laundry.....also can you do the load of laundry?"

lol

Get well soon Mrs ge!

- who am I kidding, I always to the laundry anyway! It's not a big deal.

edit: We actually say a load of washing.... I dunno what aussies say anymore.

ge's pro and cons of working out at an "athletes only" gym

Pro: A lot of the time the gym. while small, is empty meaning one can work out in peace.

Con: Whenever anyone is there, they are usually of national or world cup standard and boy oh boy they make ge feel like Jabba the hut who has finally decided that now is the time to really really let himself go!

Who knew people could be so fit and ripped (and that's just the ladies.)

That doesn't answer how you were allowed in an athletes only gym ..... surely you are not allowed to use the missuses card?

The club takes pity on one chubbo per year. Especially when said chubbo has driven some athletes to and from races at 6-7 hours a pop.

Plus, well...think of a small-ish gym, then halve it, and that's the about what there is! So small, there's no cards, just a code on the door.
