We are not getting the basics right. This team will never have the chance to dominate field position if they can't hold the ball.

We are getting badly beaten through the middle but we were so good at that last week. What has happened to our forwards this week?

these state of origin rounds should be scrapped. How can you expect to play without your best players.

Bring back the old days when players played the weekend before the state game, then backed up to play the weekend after if they could, though often from the bench.

In terms of how many games they play through the year, todays players really do have it easy in comparison to days of old when interstate wasn't the only rep footy during the premiership season. There was the City firsts (later Origin) and City Seconds, and then there was usually a mid-season international tour either by Great Britain, New Zealand or France or we'd go on a mid-season tour of New Zealand. And sometimes they coincided with the end of season Kangaroo Tour of Great Britain and France. Not to mention the days when there was the midweek cup competition where the further you went in the comp, obviously the more games played. A player even back in the early 1980s could end up playing around 30-40 games in a single year, not including trial games.

Players today have it so much easier really.

This is the most disappointing thing for mine. So many games this year we have just given the other side the win by not respecting the ball in the first 20 mins

It's all well and good to play well with turbo DCE and Jake playing but tonight no one is really putting in.
This tonight again says more about our coach than when we are at full strength.

Don't ever equate anything this Manly side does with your birthday celebration. Turn off the TV and go enjoy it. Don't bother watching these piss-ants.

My crystal ball says Manly will lose by six. The refs will ensure they even the count and give us all the ball in the second half. Look for a Parra sin-bin. But they will make sure we don't get the win.

The most disappointing thing is the lack of effort. We just don't look up for it at all tonight. Once Weekes got 10 in the bin, we played as if we knew we were done for. And it just got worse after that.

Bigger issue is our forwards , only 2 trying the rest total basket case. This is all too common now..they just don't lift when faced with adversity let alone be consistent.

Agree… Shipley, Aloiai and Guac have been absolutely sh*thouse in a game where we really needed them to lift…

They have made as much effort as they did in Rd 20 last year against the chooks… when we need these guys to step up THEY GO MISSING…

Gordon's defence up the middle is still very suspect right now. A couple of weeks back at North Sydney Oval his defence was sorta kinda woeful and definitely not what a first grade hooker should be producing.

Its not all about service from dummy half. There is more to being a hooker in todays game than how good the dummy half work is. They have to be strong defenders because they play in the middle of the park.

To me tonight's game show more about where our club is.
Yes dce Jake and turbo great players but we still should be giving a better showing than we are.
