Dylan Walker Injury

It's a good thing it's not a broken ankle, they heal much worse than a leg...Jaral Yow Yeh for example.

A broken leg AND an ankle dislocation it’s getting worse every time I came back to this thread? FMD did he fall off the medicab as they were taking him off for his ankle and then did it reverse back over his leg to pick him up again

Sounds like when Dick Johnson's green Falcon hit the tree's at Bathurst in 1983. On the way back to Brisbane the car towing the trailer with the crashed car on it.....also crashed and rolled. The Greens-stuffed car was apparently salvageable for parts before then but it was well and truly rooted after that lol.

The Falcon was that bad they ended up pulling it apart and cutting the bits up to use as paper weights......

Personally I hope Dylan comes back like Ricky Stuart did in 1994 after his similar injury in late 1993. Stuart came back and led Canberra to the 1994 premiership and went on to reclaim the test spot on the Kangaroo Tour. If Dylan can come back, lead us to the 2018 premiership and then gets picked for Australia, I'll be more than happy.

That green hotrod was on song when it came over the top that lap, what a sound.(and I am a holden boy)

Hoping he takes a few months longer to get back than what is recommended.

If he can come back around Origin time and 100% right would be better than playing in round 1-4 and being 95% right.

I don't wanna be all dooms day about this but it's a huge worry. He is one of our real attacking threats simply because he is powerful and fast...he is not a "thinking" footballer, he is a runner. If he loses some of that explosive speed, he could end up being Dean Whare; solid but nothing spectacular.

The way our roster stands, we need spectacular from him.

I hope for his sake and Manly's that he makes a full recovery.

It's seems that it's better to break the fibula than the tibia so that's good news. The fibula does not carry much of a weight (load). It's purpose is simply to provide stability to the ankle, which probably explains the connection with the dislocated ankle.

I guess on a positive note our own Jake T . , Tariq Sims and i am sure some other League players have made complete recoveries from leg breaks and injuries from some years or time ago . Can only hope and expect that with the correct treatment and rehab that Dylan will also manage a complete recovery . Maybe also his body just needs a good rest in general , he had a good season with of course a few outstanding efforts , but he was very vigorous at times too and he did seem to cop a bit of a battering occasionally also . Again all things well and in his favour , he will make a full recovery as well as giving his body a good rest in the process and will be available and back to his best for the Sea Eagles for the whole of next season .

Sounds like his sidestep is in danger of disappearing 😱

Forwards like sims etc just need to have weight bearing bones.

Backs need to step, swerve, relaunch from one foot - at least he is young and fit

Could be VERY serious, reports are if a fracture it’s 4-6 months before he can run.

Injured in PM’s game in New Guinea.

Not good news!
Don't worry . The good news is that we
have Kelly and Brown . We are in good hands . There is plenty of speed to burn and power in our backline with these two consistent performers that will take us into the top 4 next year. Walker wont be missed. Infact he wont be even noticed .
Brown and Kelly are our future
Our future is bright .
