Can't really see Sipley playing lock , I feel more likely Walker could start there , If Davey has covid Bullemor may come in with Schuster going to back row ,
Which ever side Des picks should beat the dragons if not no chance of playing semis these are the games Manly need to win to have any chance

Manly forwards Jake Trbojevic and Andrew Davey have been ruled out of Friday night’s clash with St George Illawarra after testing positive to Covid.
Trbojevic wasn’t named in the Manly side for the Jubilee Stadium clash after contracting the virus on Sunday evening. Davey has been named in the Sea Eagles’ back row but well-placed sources have confirmed he too has Covid and won’t play.

It’s a double blow for Manly ahead of the game with just two points separating the eighth-placed Sea Eagles and 11th-placed Dragons on the NRL ladder.

Toff Sipley has been named as the starting lock to replace Trbojevic.

Josh Schuster has been named on the interchange bench and could come onto an edge in place of Davey, while Ben Trbojevic or Ethan Bullemor could come into the team from the extended bench.

Manly coach Des Hasler preferred not to comment when contacted on Tuesday and did not revealed a replacement for Davey.

Off-contract forward Marty Taupau will play his 150th game for Manly.

Bad bad memories still of the day at Kogarah in 2004 we led them by 34 to not much and got run down 36-34. It was as bad as the recent Cowboys capitulation.

Not so happy hunting ground. Some very good Sea Eagles teams have not left Kogarah a winner.
2020: lost 34-4
2014: won 21-12
2013: won 24-18
2012: lost 17-6
2010: lost 28-0 (semi final)
2010: lost 32-10
2007: lost 26-22
2004: lost 36-34
1997: won 18-14
1996: won 6-2

I don't see that Manly has ever ever had a decent sized win at Kogarah. The 2014 win by 21-12 was probably the best as it was 21-8 near fulltime. The great 1974 side scored plenty, but let in plenty too.
1974: won 35 (7 tries) to 23 (5 tries)

Yep i wouldnt like our chances even if Tom was playing.

This is the only game I think we have no chance of winning.

Forget it and move on already.

Great to see Tooves had good success coaching the teams that played at Kogarah.

The 2013 win was a beauty despite the margin only being 6. It was a Monday night which was generally a difficult time slot for us and we finished the game with Taufua at fullback after Snake went down. Taufua scored a powerful try with the game in the balance to help us win it

Any news on any covid drop outs from Saints, just to even it up a little.
With Suli out, Mbye goes to centre and a match up against Koula. I feel that is a good even up!

Our front row rotation are key to this match. The saints don’t have a huge amount of punch through the middle and I feel our boys can lay a really good platform for a win.
