Actually not a lot.

2007 - Storm were MPs and won, but stripped
2008 - we came 2nd
2009 - Storm came 4th I think? (but then stripped)
2010 - Dragons were MPs
2011 - we came 2nd
2012 - Storm came 2nd (or 3rd)?
2013 - we came 4th

That's positive.i would have thought a lot more minor premiers would have won the grand final -feeling more confident by the minute.

Since NRL started in current form in 98 before this year 11 out of 15 MP's made Grand Final and 5 out of 11 won and 1 of those 5 was taken off team for salary cap breach.

We haven't won the MP and the GF in the same year since 1996 (though it can be argued we were the 'legal' winners in 2007), and we only lost out on doing the double in 2008 on for and against as the salary cap cheats were +302 while we were +290 (Cronulla were only +67 so weren't even close despite equaling us and Melbourne with a 17-7 record).

Manly have won the MP and GF in the same year on 5 occasions: 1972, 1973, 1976, 1987 and 1996. Interestingly, only Bob Fulton was involved in all 5 as either a player or coach.

The last teams to win both the minor premiership and Premiership are Saints 2010, Drizzle 2007,Penrith in 2003, Brisbane 2000, Brisbane 1998, Manly 1996, Brisbane 1992, Penrith 1991, Manly 1987
