That is Canberra, Dogs and Melbourne

Fox clearly do not rated Manly as any type of contender.

How awesome would it be if we sat Melbourne on their arses.

Just have a sense that Manly could have the Raiders and Dogs measure .
Not so much the Storm and Roosters at this stage , Dolphins a bit of an unknown .
Still think that Manly will have to win at least two of these next four quite challenging games .
Great start if they can somehow lift to whatever extent and get the edge on Saturday night but guess also that the Sharks and Panthers will not be going away either and with them in range also for a top 8 finish

We are in this position because for reasons.
1.We have played inconsistent footy.
2. We have mainly played the weaker teams. Most of our remaining games are however against the top teams.

I think the next 2 games will define our season. Firstly the Storm and then the Dogs.
I will be surprised and quite happy if we can win at least one of these games, but I suspect we will lose both and spiral well below the top 8.

Yeah Melbourne are a funny one. Sometimes we pull it out against them....then again other times we get lapped so fingers crossed.

Only way we drop out of the 8 after next week is if Easts and Cronulla draw and Phins win. So even with a loss to Melb we’ll still be in the 8 come the game in Syd vs dogs. (Unless Melb annihilate us and ruin our f/a - which is possible I guess!) Then we have easts at home. Our important games to win are easts and dolphins then take care of tigers again and warriors at home. So for mine it’s finding a win from Melb, dogs,Saints, raiders which we are capable of. Anyone's guess atm. I think we are a genuine chance of knocking over both the Storm and Dogs. Love Tom at centre and Garrick back to his rightful wing position. Also really like what I have seen last few weeks from our engine room (Lodge, Sio, Sips, Bully and Jaz). Hell even Jake seems to have found an extra spring in his step. Still a bit ugly but who knows with this lot. With a bit of luck with injuries, these guys can still go all the way. We find out this weekend.

Honestly - it just feels wierd. We have been bad. Really bad. We have internal problems (as usual) we lost to the bottom teams. We have injuries. Our coach should be sacked (according to some on here - not me).....

Yet SOME HOW we are within touching distance of fifth on the ladder.

Is it just because the top 4 are way better than everyone else? We've got a super tough draw ahead of us - surely we lose all of them and drop to 14th?

Heaven forbid we actually find some form!

It's all an illusion, smoke and mirrors, which in this case consists of a 3rd and final bye and a win against a bottom-feeder - dancing tantalisingly in front of your eyes to lull you into a sleep of reason and truth. Which will be brutally revealed when you wake up in Round 24
