Defamation case

Does anyone know whether Brett plans on running a defamation case against media outlets, primarily News Ltd and/or Gallop. I would have thought that this action would have been a given after his trial.

As angry as all of us are about how Brett was treated, we should take care with what we post. That said, it is comforting to read that so many our fans are as angry as I am.

Hope that Brett sues and has a cracker of a year.

How else can he recover over $300,000 that Gallop cost him plus the pain and suffering and the rest of the crap they threw at him.Gallop always calls the chiefs at News Ltd that know nothing before he does anything im sure.They always seem to want to save face no matter what happens.

BRETT STEWART is likely to knock back a lucrative offer by News Ltd to settle a defamation case. The Manly star is believed to be between $300,000 and $400,000 out of pocket after covering legal expenses. He was found not guilty of sexual assault allegations in September. It is understood the Manly fullback is holding out for a bigger payout. News recently settled another defamation matter filed by former Parramatta Eels chief executive Denis Fitzgerald.
