Decision makers

Not disputing that and not disputing the club needs to do better.

Just a pet peeve when people feel the need to use hyperbole to make a point.

Many many years of bottom four ahead much like when people say in a spoon race or worst team in the competition is just unnecessary sensationalism.
Once again context.
We are not Tigers Parra Titans who might win every 50 years.
We have a proud legacy with high expectations
A legacy being thrown away by sheer incompetence. The recent recruitment policy (which will **** us for years with the expansion on our doorstep) is simply mind boggling.

Dogs recognized the need for haste with what was coming and turned over an entire roster with the RIGHT type of player for the modern game together with a young coach of the highest pedigree not burdened by years of mediocrity.

We bought Lodge, Woods , Chee Kam, Brown and Waddell and signed a bloke as coach who had just grabbed the biggest club in the country's first ever wooden spoon.

Let's hope he does not make it two proud clubs to get the spoon

To be fair, “premiership window” and “top 4 side” came from the club. Remember the goal was to “break away from the cluster” at the bottom end of the top 8.
Doesnt mean it needs to be swallowed and regurgitated as truth which i can assure you has happened a lot on here

Ive copped a few sprays from the believers too, but some people just love to spray i suppose

Especially after 21, its really only this season most caught up and now its to spray seibs and tony for us being kind of where we always are

And again.....I'm not disputing and of that, your points ring true.

It's a shame others can make their points without exaggeration and hyperbole.

What's with this line that often gets thrown on Silvertails of "you must accept mediocrity"......?

Most of us are very passionate Manly fans, but probably none of us has any influence on how the club performs on the field.

If you want to throw stones, throw them at Scott Penn, not fellow fans who, for most, have the club and rugby league as an outlet for the rest of their lives.
The people who keep throwing out that line about "accepting mediocrity" flatter themselves with their imagined ability to recognise excellence.

Bloody well said. ✊️✊️✊️

I have followed Manly since 1971, through good and bad, plenty of good times, I love it when they win, but the fact is I have to accept they will not always win, it is part of sport, but I am always on board no matter what. A true Manly fan will always be behind their team, regardless of who the coach is, or what player they signed or who the current owner is, in the big picture, they are all temporary, Manly goes on. Of course none of us are happy at the moment, we can all express disappointment in different ways and I understand the anger, I don't think anyone here accepts mediocrity, times like this, you could argue it is hard to support them, but the good times for Manly will be back and I'll support them regardless and look forward to be on the up again.

I agree with your sentiment, and I've been supporting Manly since around 1960. However, it must be obvious to all -- except one bloke -- that our lack of success began when Mr Penn took full ownership of the club. Surely, an owner who really loved a struggling club or company would change the formula and step aside. A new owner, with new ideas, and contacts in high places, could revive this once great club.
The pitiful slide of the once powerful Leagues Club mirrors the shambolic leadership of the football operations. The Dee Why RSL and the Harbord Diggers are thriving under good governance. Mr Penn has drooped the ball, not unlike some of our players.

He obviously does not watch NRL.
Penrith do everything at speed, 90% of them are mobile, even the big guys.
Four in a row FFS

But we love old and slow
