His response: "Yet you have no issue with me selecting Bret Tate on the wing - 23 games at centre for NQ and 3 games on the wing for QLD"

I tweeted back: " only because I wasn't aware of it. Now I do (have an issue with it). Another ridiculous decision"

Nice! And now I know of it, so do I!

They are pretty bad selections. I wonder if his wonderful 'memory' will be able to recall those gems of choices.

That'll do me. There needs to be an investigation into this. I don't get it.

RE: 2012 Rugby League Annual

Oops... My bad.

Lyon and Jennings were the centres.

MANLY star Daly Cherry-Evans has edged out Dally M winner Cooper Cronk to claim the halfback's spot in David Middleton's Team of the Year in this year's Big League Annual.

Cherry-Evans' irresistible form for the Sea Eagles earned him a World Cup berth where his form was so good Australian coach preferred him ahead of Robbie Farah on the bench for the big games including the final.

Both he and Cooper will be integral to Mal Meninga's Queensland team as they aim to win their ninth successive series.

Middleton's annual team is always a big topic for debate with this year no exception.

Despite submitting strong claims for inclusion, grand final five-eighths James Maloney and Kieran Foran miss out to Cowboy Johnathan Thurston.

Thurston played a massive role in the resurgence of North Queensland late in the season and was again pivotal as the Maroons dominated the interstate stage for an eighth straight year.

New Zealanders Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Sonny Bill Williams and Englishman Sam Burgess also feature in the team.

Boom Sharks forward Andrew Fifita proved to be the ideal impact player tearing through tiring opposition packs and has been named along with Waerea-Hargreaves in the front row ahead of Test stars Matt Scott and James Tamou.

Which Team of the Year members were crowned the Top 5 Players of the Year by David Middleton?

Grab a copy of the 2013 Rugby League Annual on December 19 to find out.

Let's see.....

The annual is rubbish and just pays for more bigwigs junkets,
Van morrison sucks,
40 degrees is totally stupid + air con gives you cancer
No chance of anyone posting anything interesting on sillvertails, and
you still have to be at work...= keeping pants on.

Therefore I'd say your job (and hence life) suxxorz!!

So...send me the annual!

RE: 2012 Rugby League Annual

And might I add 4 women just had a big argument at work, right near me.

Classic

Middleton's 2014 team of the year is:

1 Greg Inglis
2 Brett Morris
3 Michael Jennings
4 Dylan Walker
5 Alex Johnston
6 Kieran Foran
7 Johnathan Thurston
8 Matt Scott
9 Cam Smith
10 James Graham
11 Corey Parker
12 Josh Jackson
13 Sam Burgess

Ok I will admit I am the most biased person here, but Jamie gets Dally M centre of the year and can't make this team??

Dylan Walker had a good season, but the 4 nations showed me he is still well below international standard. And whilst I like Michael Jennings.....he can't pass!!! Imagine being a winger outside of him? You may as well have a picnic, you'll never get passed the ball! Jamie is seriously the pick of modern days centres.

Well done to Foz, shows you what a talent he is when he really didn't have his best season but is still regarded as one of the top 5/8s! (not having a go, I think he had a very good season, which tailed off at the back end, just not a GREAT season)

Can't help but think some of the players in that team made it on reputation and not performance. :s
