I never get ads like that, I mostly get ads from kickstarter type things like some of the smart luggage I have my eye on. THen I get a lot of edutech stuff and technology things, but thats it.

I would say it may be worth spending sometime doing some "Incognito" surfing in Firefox for some of the sites you visit
