I think what Walker did in two games at the start of the year was more noteworthy than anything Walsh did in the entire season. Talk about over hyped! Walker is going to be twice the player Reece Walsh will ever be.
Would have been no match for Schuster if he had played half his games at 5/8 . In saying that Schuster played in a much more demanding position than them ( both attack and defense ) .Bring on 2022 .

The thing about the highlights that set it apart for me (when compared to Hayne or other break out years) is his defence. Some of those last ditch tackles are just as freakish as what he does with the ball

I get the issues with the Fox team located in Sydney and the players located in Brisbane but it was pretty ordinary TV last night.

Surely ( they had Corey Parker there ) someone could of been on stage to interview the winners , ir at least pass on questions from those in Sydney.

Just to add to my last ... even though he didn't win the award while playing for Manly, 1996 premiership winner Neil Tierney won the BRL Rothmans Medal in 1989 while playing for the Wynnum-Manly Seagulls.

Tierney, and old fashioned front rower with a build more like Marty Bella than Marty Taupau, joined the NSWRL in 1990 and played 4 seasons with St George before playing two seasons with Western Suburbs, finally joining the mighty Sea Eagles in our premiership year of 1996.

1974: Graham Eadie wins the Rothmans Medal
1986: Mal Cochrane wins the Rothmans Medal
1990: Cliff Lyons wins the Dally M Medal
1994: Cliff Lyons wins the Dally M Medal
2008: Matt Orford wins the Dally M Medal
2021: Tom Trbojevic wins the Dally M Medal
Thanks @HoldenV8 as this clears something up for me...

I was f*cking convinced that I recalled Mal Cochrane winning the Dally M... but instead of checking it out I just thought 'jeez I have a sh*t memory'...

Don't get me wrong, I still do have a sh*t memory...
