i have my doubts on either being regular first graders, both just seem off first grade standard week in week out, i know des is a fan of croker due to his fitness levels alone so that might be enough to give him the nod

I reckon Izzard will squeeze into the top 30 and will hurdle both of them for the utility spot. The fact that he played the nines suggests they wanted to have a look at him. Greater utility value than the other 2 can play 6,7,9 and second row. Could also play centre at a pinch.

I have to agree. He probably improved his NRL chances at the 9s more than any other sea eagle IMO. He got a lot of game time at 9 more then Ipape. He saved the team a couple of times with great defence. Then add looked very handy with his ability to play back row and or ball play. Its a skill set made for the bench, and one which would be hard to leave out of a teams 30. I'm not sure if the club have the benefit of being able to bump him up after the season kicks off, getting a look at him in CC. But my thinking is an outside back currently in the 30 who couldn't make the 9s list could make way.

**** - got the wrong Izzard. In that case, I loved watching his uncle play. His dad, not so much.
