Basically says Cronk has an option with Storm in his favour for 2017, but has informed them he'll be moving to Sydney to be with his girl friend. Dragons favourites, with Souths and 'Dogs also mentioned.

He'll be 33 by the time he suits up for 2017...only a dumb club like St George would offer the guy any deal, let alone 3 years. He is a great footballer and he has value for Melbourne at 33-34 years old, but incorporating someone that old into a new system is just not worth the investment.

Cronk at Melbourne is worth more than at other clubs, his understanding of his role & the players around him have been a massive part of his success.
Really though.....who cares...at Illawarra or Melbourne there's no winners any time soon.

Why do you think Bellyache is getting out while the getting's good? He's going to lose his "Big 3" sometime over the next two or three years at most. After that what have they got?

At least Qld have themselves some talented players who can take over their roles, but I question whether Melbourne have anywhere near the quality of Smith, Cronk and Slater coming through the ranks.

Might be some lean times over the next decade for the Mexicans.
