Also when he won his premiership in his first year at the Chooks, it was common knowledge that Phil Gould was the puppeteer, the real coaching brains of the outfit.

Since then, Stuart has failed time and time again. He failed at the Sharks, he failed miserably at doesn't-matta, he failed with NSW, he failed with Australia (we lost a World Cup Final with him as coach) and he's now failing with Canberra.

Interesting fact. As of last weeks opening round, Stuart has coached in 361 club games (including finals), has won 179, lost 180 and drawn 2. That's a winning percentage of only 48.7%.

He played well in round one . 23 rounds to go and the consistent and mentally and physically tough will survive in the NRL coliseum .

They work with the players they have to create a game plan that will beat whoever they are playing on the day. Stuart see his halves and 2nd guesses any decision they made against what he would've done in the same situation, and sacks, drops or trades any that don't think the same as him. I think it effects his coaching as I reckon he plans the game as thought he will be the half and when the real half doesn't execute as he would've he blames that player for the loss instead of the faulty game plan that he came up with, if that makes sense.

I thought Stuart blamed referees or anyone else he can think of when he loses, not just his halves. Every press conference after a loss he puts the blame squarely on anyone's shoulders but his own.

Remember when he was seen abusing Ashley Klein in the motel lobby the morning after the 2008 WCF loss? Forget the fact that the Kiwis played out of their skins or that the Qld heroes in the Aussie team messed up big that night (Lockyer's dropped ball over the line which butchered a try just before half time, Slater's pass to Benji.....). Then when he was through with that he started blaming of all things the ARL for the scheduling of the Kangaroos games.

His over-inflated opinion of himself never allows him to actually take a loss on the chin. He always has to find someone to blame. His coaching, his game tactics have nothing to do with it when he loses, just ask him he'll tell ya.

How did he fail as an Australian coach . He won 10 games from 11
AS NSW coach against the QLD Kings . He won 4 from 9
Bellamy won 2 from 9 . What does this say about Bellamy ?

That was not always the case , example ...

HIS 17 players were left embarrassed at Brookvale Oval but Canberra coach Ricky Stuart placed the blame squarely on himself.
The Raiders were behind 42-0 after just 33 minutes against Manly in the most inept performance of any team this season.

Stuart, though, stepped forward and shouldered the brunt of criticism after claiming he didn’t rectify a lacklustre training session on Wednesday.

“I’m dirty on myself in regards to not coming down hard on the boys on Wednesday,” Stuart said.
 
That’s a good find from Bozo on Stuart 1 off pointing the finger in his own direction, but with Manly heading for a half century after 30 minutes....he had little choice.
Stuart could play the game and personally think he has a great footy brain technically, but he does get offside with plenty with an arrogant persona that is evident every time you see him.
Also creates divisions with his favourites- then the rest....and a really interesting point someone made earlier about his lofty expectations of halves seems pretty spot on.
It’s good to have the bar high, but to get the best out of players, their form will go South quickly if put under unrealistic pressure.....and this can quickly spread through the squad, particularly when the halves heads drop.
 
In the end Croker only got this shot because 1 we couldn't sign Pearce, Hodko or Carney because of our salary cap problems. We don't have all year to let Croker settle because if we don't make the 8 this year it will be disappointing. That will be Barretts 1st strike because our side was weaken when Barrett decided to let Green walk because apparently we had a letter of intent signed from Pearce. How recruitment made that stuff up is embarrassing if true..
 
See that Tom Wright and Joey Lussick have been named as the half"s for Black Town this weekend and no doubt depth in the half's for one reason or another is an issue for the club right now . Croker is a good natural footballer and still seems the best option at present for Green "s replacement .

It says he is fukkett useless sack of Shiite of a coach if the team he is playing against has the same number of SOO players in it as he has ...

I agree with you that the Raiders did have the same type of players as Croker who are a dime a dozen and you have answered your own question there .
Croker was very thankful for our club for giving him an opportunity that Ricky didn't .

The irony of your post is that you’re the one writing him off and thinking Jackson Hastings is the answer. I’m not saying he’s fantastic I just don’t think he should be written off. He was an Australian schoolboy and had a rough trot with injuries.

Jackson Hastings meanwhile is the bloke that’s on to his third club, not due to injuries, and couldn’t convince coaching staff in the offseason that he was a better option than a guy that’s played half a game.

At least apply the same logic to your own argument. Multiple coaches didn’t rate Hastings enough to hang on to him. Not just one.

I gave him an evaluation on how I saw him play . I was not impressed but you sound like you are and have come up with your reasons why you think he will excel .
At the end of the day feathered friend you are not going to convince me how good Croker is or how good he will be by your posts , Croker will convince me by his performances on the field .😉

Do you read people’s responses or just post whatever suits your point of view? I believe I specifically said “i’m not saying he’s fantastic”. I’m just not writing him off. I’m not trying to convince you he is either.

Arguing with you is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good I am at chess the pigeon is still going to kick over the pieces, crap on the board and strut around like it won...
