I’ll be at the Broome Speedway tonight , it starts at 5.30pm ( 7.30pm QLD time ) so I’ll record the game and see how we go.

Enjoy the night everyone , we could really do with a win to both , keep the Donkeys & Cowboys at bay , but to lift some spirits on here.

But never easy , in the heat , in Townsville , so , fingers & toes crossed,

Nice , surprisingly mild here today in Broome , cool morning ( 8 degrees ) top about 27. It’ll be back to normal on Monday , overnight 16 top of 35.

Well I am expecting big things tonight from Manly with this squad.

The Cowboys have leaked a lot of points this year and attack-wise we couldn't field a stronger team than this. With only 9 games remaining this is where we need to start fully hitting our straps. Obviously if we are any hope of pushing for a top 4 position this game is crucial and a must win.

What I see is - Tom in the centres will be an immediate success provided he keeps his error rate down and has a strong passing and offload game. He will attract a lot of attention so if his passing is on song we should see him creating some space with the extra defenders trying to contain his running game.

I am expecting a comfortable win tonight and for us to score around 6 or 7 tries.

Not sure how we will go defensively. If Garrick and Saab sort out their poor reads and we can work as one with our sliding defence I can see us holding the Cowboys to 10-12 points.

In saying that I am expecting a Manly win in the vicinity of 36-12.

I would also like to see us playing a bit deeper in attack like the Manly of old. We have been playing way too flat imho which doesn't suit our style at all. This will help to create more space for our speedsters and allow them to build up some more pace.
