I can't believe how badly he fell off. Guy was killing it at the start of the year. I agree he doesn't deserve to be picked same as Ponga.

I know it's bad when I'm hoping for a Sunday arvo game so I can watch and enjoy all the footy games before us because it ruins my weekend too.

It's sad to say, but I've kind of clocked of from watching Manly, great if we win, but don't get to upset anymore when we lose. Although, I'm enjoying watching the other teams go round in this really tight 2025 season.

Ponga suffers from playing in that shocking Knights side. I would still back him to shine in a side with playmakers around him. Looked like he picked up an injury, but might not be serious.

It’ll be interesting to see how he reacts tonight. Does he know Billy won’t take him out no matter what and just try to avoid injury and play with zero effort again, or does he try and make a real statement to the selectors? Whatever happens, I’ll be pissed off either watching him play with no heart again or watching him only play well because he wants that Origin spot knowing he could’ve been playing this well the last month and a half.

The latter would still be better because it would at least give us a chance of winning!

He's never been Mr Popular Knockabout Bloke but he's always been Mr Professional, so I still wonder whether his form has been affected by the back spasms he had early in the year.

Having had back issues myself (hopefully all in the past) it can take a mental toll. Pretty sure in the games after it happened I noticed Brooks doing far more of the kicking, plus DCE's usually reliable defence wasn't on view, last week at least.

Staying or going, while he's here I want him fit and ripping in. Today's a good day for it.

Olakau'atu will step up this week. Was basically rubbed out of all conversations surrounding Origin after last week's performance. He will know that.

I still think Turbo is a little cooked, and will have trouble unseating Lomax on the wing, unless he smashes straight through the line, like he did in round one.

I have no idea what to expect from DCE. He could have another absolute stinker, or kick them to death and pull off some crazy assist.

The worst part about this DCE saga, is looking back at old highlights, not thinking "ah those were the days, what a gun player", and instead thinking "where the hell was this last week?" It's like watching two different players. Brooks is outplaying him.
