Manly will win this.
The teams are reasonably similar (Cows have actually conceded more points) and the big difference is...Manly is more desperate.
Only thing that can stop us is the officiating, we need to be pretty smart about that.
Out pack and bench are woeful
Paseka and Aloia , although not great are at least competitive

We’ll get slaughtered down the middle
DCE has given up
Tommy is hurting
Overall the incredibly weak forward pack and DCE issue around morale is insurmountable in my opinion

I expect a shellacking to be honest
To think they will get up for this ignores the reality of Sunday

DCE will phone it in but he will be picked for QLD - that is a certainty and he knows it too

Well yeah, that's always possible too. Just a bit of sea eagle intuition tells me there's plenty of shocks still to come in this comp.
Hey maybe the cows will get shafted by the ref? Someone has to!

That's a bleak assessment Susan, people on here were writing us off for the Penrith game also, and look what happened. The bigger Sharks forwards steamrolled us, not sure the Cowboys will do the same.

I get that but to me the Sharks game wreaked of the straw that broke the camels back re team morale. The difference now is DCE has definitely checked out. You could see it in the press conference and the coach looks like he has no answers

I actually thought we would beat Penrith too
We had absolutely everything going for us Sunday - great crowd , long preparation , desperate - and delivered a flat who cares performance

I think Sunday was a watershed moment and would not be surprised to see DCE out of the side by years end for any number of reasons

We won’t get the break from the refs like round 1 and the cowboys are playing the second phase up tempo football that kills us and are great at those kicks for Nannai and co , an area we are lamentably bad in

The new young half is going to be a star and Lsybutt will be dangerous coming back too … can really play

Considering the fact they are missing Cotter and Taumololo, and we are missing Paseka and Aloisi, this game will definitely be a litmus test on what we can expect for the remainder of the season. If we get lapped in the middle and the Cows put on a big score it might be the beginning of the end for Siebold.

You've made a lot of valid points, we really need our big 3 to aim up, as in Turbo, DCE and Ola, otherwise it could be another Sharks type loss again.

Unfortunately, 2 of those seem to be playing injured (did you see Ola on Sunday - felt sorry for the bloke) and the other seems to be off with the fairies.
We have to play out of our skin and the Cows have to have an off night for us to win this. But that can always happen 🤞

If we were to somehow reverse our past five week slump in form (aside from Panthers) and win this well, it could be a real turning point in our season. We might well go on a run if that happened, easing the discontent of Manly fans like me and others who belong to the sack Spoony brigade. After all, we all want to see the mighty Sea Eagles winning consistently.

I'm sure every supporter would happily eat a Spoony spoon full of humble pie.

Hard to see him turning it around.

The only thing that gives me some hope is that we are totally inconsistent - and if we stay true to that (as ironic as that is) we’ll turn in a decent performance this week. But that’ll then be nulified but a sh!t performance the following week.🙄

Their halves are dangerous, especially if Manly get beaten up in the forwards again, if the middles turn up and gain at least equality in the ruck, have the outside backs to more than match them.
Have a feeling Manly show up this week, but i have got that wrong before ..... :wondering:

Haven't we all! ☹️

I thought the Penrith win was going to be the turning point but, well, you know.
Until we can get a pack that is getting us go forward, we'll continue down this unsealed road.

All I care about is Manly winning. Would happily eat my share of that humble pie if Seibold can string a few wins together and have us playing good, consistent footy.

Brace yourselves everyone , the next 3 1/2 months is going to be dire.

I think eventually the club will have to stand the captain down & throw in Arthur , whilst he’s not great it’ll be no worse.

The Dollar Chaser has well & truly checked out.

If that happens then the coach needs to be flicked as well. One seventh placed finish bookended by two dismal seasons is an enormous fail at the vast majority of clubs.

Let's not forget that Des was tracking to have us play three finals series in four years before rainbow gate kicked in and he was sacked. He also got us to a prelim final. Which overall is a superior record than what Siebold has produced.

Yep sack everyone , not sure what we do then but can’t be any worse than it is now.

Keep Bullemor,Ola, Koula & little Hoppa

So new coach , staff & 26 players

Some might call it a bloodbath , others it’s a refresh

It's a chance, Manly outsiders but not by much

No chance at all! A couple might, but many of his critics (haters?) would find anyone to credit for the win but certainly not Seibs!
