Let's not forget that Des was tracking to have us play three finals series in four years before rainbow gate kicked in and he was sacked. He also got us to a prelim final. Which overall is a superior record than what Siebold has produced.
As far as I remember we won 5 in a row without turbo and were heavy favourites to smash the roosters 🐓. Only for whoever decided to do that rubbish with the jerseys then we lost what the next 7? And kicked Des because we didn't make the finals LOL then we hire Seibold over Flanno... mind boggling stuff. This is one of the dumbest clubs in the code without a doubt. Toovey sacked for Barrett LOL shame on them

If that happens then the coach needs to be flicked as well. One seventh placed finish bookended by two dismal seasons is an enormous fail at the vast majority of clubs.
He was only extended because we happened to fluke that finals win over the dogs by virtue of a Hail Mary last tackle play from Turbo and DCE, finished off by koulas pace and evasion. We were never going to win that game until then. We got found out big time the next week.

It's a chance, Manly outsiders but not by much

No chance at all! A couple might, but many of his critics (haters?) would find anyone to credit for the win but certainly not Seibs!
Kinda like the critics/haters who will find any excuse for a loss apart from the coach. The owner, DCE, the scheduling, old forwards (not the coaches fault though), mestrov, recruitment.

Still gives so many 6 agains away every game, him & Jake give 4-5 away every game
Up to and including Round 10, Jake's Negative Play tally, over the 7.25 games that he has played in, amounts to 2 Set Restarts, 1 Penalty, and 1 Error, which equates to 0.552 offense per game, and all those listed offenses happened in Round 2 when he was sent to the Sin Bin for 10 minutes. He has been a clean skin ever since.

Ben and Tom on the other hand are something different.

Ben's Negative Play tally, over the 9 games that he has played in, amounts to 8 Set Restarts, 6 Penalties, and 7 Errors, which equates to 2.333 offenses per game.

Tom's Negative Play tally, over the 4.5 games that he has played in, amounts to 1 Set Restart, 1 Penalty, and 9 Errors, which equates to 2.444 offenses per game.

Yeah you couldn’t actually make it up hey.
This is what I get frustrated about. We kicked a huge own goal in 2022 with that utterly stupid rainbow jersey. Now we go and destroy another season with the Dce stuff. Sure Dce is difficult but it’s not as if we wouldn’t have known that and we should have been way ahead of the curve here and managed this.

9/9 going into that game and lost out. Not sure we would have played finals or done anything really in 22. Got belted a few times that year. Broncs 38-0 at Suncorp the worst. Beat mostly ordinary teams as well from memory. The Manly Way.

Hate is a bit strong. Footy has always been powered by the loyalty and passion of temperamental fan bases, all of them craving success with expectations that the coaching staff will improve the team and deliver consistency. When a team does not achieve that year on year improvement towards excellence the supporters will eventually demand change. The buck has always stopped with the coach.

That's rugby league as it ever was.

That's all it is.

That’s every sport right?! Actually pretty much every career.

Yeah, I agree.
I meant 'hater' in the sort of modern slang sense, meaning (looked it up)
someone very critical, skeptical, or pessimistic, especially regarding someone else's achievements or success. They often express negative opinions or feelings about others, often without constructive feedback

Really sad but I don’t think I’ll even bother watching the next game.
I'll watch but only out of habit and not with any confidence of winning. I had dinner with my sons last night. The three of them and their large group of mates rain, hail or shine haven't missed a single game at Brookie in at least 10 years. They were all big DCE fans and the way he did what he did took a lot of pleasure out of the season for them. They all said that they don't have any great enthusiasm in watching Manly any more this year and just don't give a fck if they win or lose ..... I hope once D$E has gone they'll enjoy watching Manly again.

😢😢😢😢

DCE is directly opposed to Dearden tomorrow night. If he gets outplayed it will be interesting to see if he holds his SOO position. All the so-called experts have selected him, but on form he doesn't deserve it.
He’ll turn in a big one tomorrow just for that reason

Dearden could pull his pants down tomorrow night, especially when you look at our forwards, and at 36 going on 37, you can hit the wall pretty hard when it all catches up to you.

So if that happens , is he still Queensland captain ??
