Realise that , and comments about the political nature of the decision are absolutely relevant , but if you look at the comment I was replying to it was just an advertisement for the Albanese Government and slamming the opposition.

110% irrelevant to the discussion.

If you look back even I’ve made some comments about how the PNG decision is 100% political.

There’s a general section on here where you can comment all you like about anything but seeing members flogging their views on politics or religion on a footy forum isn’t kosher ( in my opinion)

Do you think for one moment the Liberal Party would not have considered something similar. Morrison was almost sending us into a serious trade war with China (with Murdock's support) Politics is always about slamming the opposition. Dutton is doing it continuously and with as questionable justification as Albanese's comments. There's nothing new there. That's just politics. Its the actions I worry about not the Trump like rhetoric.

If we are talking about PNG absolutely, it’s 100% political and to stop the march of China.

I’d rather not get into the rest on a footy forum as it isn’t , or shouldn’t be , the place to discuss politics.

Funny but I play lawn bowls ( great game and very social) and on the first day I played the bowls captain said , “ Welcome to our newest member Mark, enjoy your time with the club and as I say to every new bowler , talk about anything you like but the two banned topics , Religion & Politics”.

Plenty of places to argue & bitch about those subjects but I don’t think it should be in a footy forum.

Votin
Agreed.

Thank you to whoever chose compulsory voting where you have to win the centre instead of mobilising the most crazies to go out and vote.
Voting isn't compulsory in the USA, yet the crazies voted the dangerous Trump into government.

It doesn't have to be Kosher if we're not Jewish.

The Far-Left only speak the truth.
When we see Right-Wing rubbish on the Forum it needs to be corrected.

Go Manly!!!
Well that my good sir , is just your opinion.

One , including me , could say the exact opposite.

My point is this is NOT the place to discuss it and that is something you could well learn.

Sport and Politics have been very closely connected since the Greek and Roman civilisations.
The Olympic Games were instigated by The Greeks.

The ancient Olympic Games began in the year 776 BC, when Koroibos, a cook from the nearby city of Elis, won the stadion race, a foot race 600 feet long. The stadion track at Olympia is shown here. According to some literary traditions, this was the only athletic event of the games for the first 13 Olympic festivals or until 724 BC. From 776 BC, the Games were held in Olympia every four years for almost 12 centuries.

For many decades South Africa was banned from playing International Sport due to their Apartheid policy.

Politics is : the total complex of relations between people living in society.

Sport and Politics are closely intertwined.

My father was a Parramatta supporter and my younger brother is a Tigers supporter because they believe the myth of Manly being 'Silvertails'
I keep telling everybody that the money stops at Balgowlah and starts again at Newport.
Most of the suburbs in between are Working Class Battlers.
There is Housing Commission properties in Narraweena.
Alot of people 'kid' themselves in thinking they are Middle Class, even though they work hard to make profits for their employer.

I'm vehemently proud to be a Manly-Warringah supporter that has a social conscience.
Whenever I tell people I'm a Manly supporter, I cop a verbal bashing.
When I tell people who my favourite Rock Band is, I cop a verbal bashing.
When I tell people about the Socialist policies that help the weak and the vulnerable people in my country, Australia, I cop a verbal bashing.
Even people that benefit from these policies vote against the people that implement them.
I'll stand by all three of these categories.

My father taught me that Rugby League was the Worker's game and Rugby Union was for the wealthy people.
Rugby League started in 1895 in Huddersfield as a form of Worker's Compensation.
If a Blue Collar Worker got seriously injured playing Rugby Union he couldn't work and earn an income.
That sounds like politics in sport.

Manly Forever!!

If you ignore religion and politics then the world's problems just get worse and unresolved.
Israel is a country built on land stolen from the Palestinians in 1948.
Don't talk about the Elephant in the room.

I agree with you but I think this should go to General forum, it is an intensely contested and much misunderstood issue so there's probably little chance of a dispassionate discussion about it in General Forum --- and zero chance here.
