Coach Seibold thoughts so far.... so good

The ladder is starting to look much more like you'd expect for this point of the season. Top teams have separated from the pack, bottom teams are well off the pace, and a big logjam in the middle.

I can't see us winning the spoon this year. The Titans look to have that just about sewn up.
It’s like we reset every season and do the same things over again losing games we should win throwing away 4 to 6 competition points.

Yes and the difference those 6 points would make , we’d be on 28 and in 4th spot.

Those losses at home are a real killer but for me getting dusted by the Titans ( who are just dreadful ) is the one that really hurt.

Yes and I was pretty devastated by the Knights loss, given we were up 16 nil. I really think the Hoppa HIA cost us that night because Ben T ended up in the centres and the Knights were smart enough to keep shifting to Gagai; it was this tactic that ultimately lost us the game.

I really hope we have a new strategy when a back goes down. Obviously Talau was there last week, but what about the weeks before that? If Saab is out, the same question applies.

There's so many games I can list where Ben in the centres is the sole reason we lost. That Roosters game last year was just as bad as this Knights game.

For reference, if we had won that game, we would've been on track for the Top 4. What damage will losing the Knights game, and the bumping of Burbo there, do to this season? Next four weeks will determine that. If we lose them all, as the odds would likely suggest, then that Knights game will lurk in memory.

Be nice to see the team grow a set and actually take it up to the Storm. Man haven't been playing well, but I can't help but feel our teams issues have all been internal.

If some boys actually smoke a peace pipe, and start winning some things. It's a funny game.

Could be a mad rush for coaches in the coming weeks/months.Titans and Knights look like moving on Des and AOB and there’s plenty of pressure on Payten in NQ.If Manly have intentions of pulling the pin on Seibold, they may want to act fast to beat the rush for the best available.Although the Penn’s have a habit of choosing the cheapest or most desperate available

Our current coach signed here when we'd made the finals 3 times in the previous 8 years, with his 3 predecessors all departing before the end of their contracts.

Since then, we've gone 1/2 for finals appearances and we're currently 7th. Not outstanding, but better than our average over the last 11 years.

If we sacked another coach tomorrow... or even started seriously scouting for replacements... then I think that only desperate coaches would even think about signing here.

AOB has got the Knights to the finals, without checking conclusively,4 of the last 5 years, but do you seriously think he’s the man to take them to the pinnacle or at least be competitive against the best?Seibold gives off the same vibes.I agree, sacking coaches regularly is not the recipe to attract top level coaches, but this team is not improving and not reaching their potential

Plus our problems are not unique.

Injuries - Souths and Knights etc.

Highly Paid Players Underperforming - Ponga, Hynes, Fifita etc

Losing games that should have been victories - Every team not in the top 4.

This is also O'Brien's 6th year at the Knights, they are currently 13th, they are also ranked dead last in points scored this season by a significant margin.

Meanwhile, we are still in the Top 8 and in finals contention. I am of the opinion that the club should give the coach at least until the end of the year, and if we miss the finals then so be it, the next decision (whatever that may be) gets taken then.

How on earth has Mr Penn make Manly look attractive to any good coach. Who would want the sh1t that comes with the job and lack of support. Penn shows no loyalty to anyone.
