Maybe they were worried that if they asked for performance clauses, Seibold would walk away from negotiations and get snapped up elsewhere, given he was in such high demand.

Bit hard to dump a coach after making the Finals and given 2025 was his last contracted yr,something had to be done.Maybe they could have waited a few months into this season,but then you create unnecessary outside noise.The fact the club took so long to re-sign him and there was a lot of interesting negotiations after Seibold walked out at one point,I suspect the club has some beneficial clauses in the contract,especially the fact it was only a 2 year extension

But we had a coach that was incapable of overachieving and taking them further into the finals and fighting resiliently for the Title
Mestrov and Penn also have been incapable to see the obvious and extended his contract .
The out come in 2026 is Obvious for Many Manly People that could see the obvious
The Obvious is Seibold is not the coach that is capable of overcoming adversities and win a Grand Final .
Seibold can get you a few wins here and there
But he will not take you all the way there to the Premiership Winning Promise Land

The Dogs Dominated the Game for 70 minutes and looked like winning
The Difference was a Kool Koula Individual Killer speed moment that won it for us by two points

Yeah well, how stupid, paying attention to someone like Gould, who couldn’t give a flying fuk about messing with other clubs, or perhaps we find someone like Webster, Ciro or Fitzy, someone the playing group can respect, someone with a plan to build a successful club, I don’t know where you stand, maybe it’s just easier to stir the pot. For me it just comes down to a lack of confidence in management to recruit the right personal across the club period, because their track record over the last 10 years reads like a fuking train wreck.
