We held by son's joint holy-communion there as well, they did very well accommodating quite a large number of people.

Ahh the pioneer tavern... Wasn't that a great place in the 90s to just sit, drink and listen to stories, which were interrupted with an occasional blue in the car park whence the combatants would return to continue drinking.

I go back to the days of the reactor one disco under the leagues club, before they turned the place into a monstrosity. Was in the club the night they won their first comp - I think all of Penrith was in there as well.

Remember Royce used to be a sort of meeter and greeter at a steak restaurant in the “CBD” that I think was called the Wine Cellar? Great place for a steak.

Remember when Freddy, Geyer, Gus and co used to go there after games? It always smelt like a mix between vomit and dirty socks. The Wine Cellar, the older Robertson brother used to play the piano and sing. He did the same at Connections. Different world back then.

Wow... reactor one that's a blast from the drunken past... It was a legalised version of a dungeon with music and alcohol.

Didn't they turn it into a Chinese restaurant after they closed it down?

Yes, I was there in 91 with my brother in law... at the age of 15... They gave up checking for ID and you could walk in and do your best.
