On Aloiai he has been a disappointment as a replacement for AFB, I have Tent, Lodge and Bully all in front of him based on last season.

I have Tent, Lodge, Bully and Toff all in front of him based on last season. I couldn't believe it when we extended Oshay Olay's contract. I still blame him for de-railing our 2022 season when he organised 7 players to refuse to play in a Manly jersey.

He's disappointing in that he seemed to have a higher ceiling, but his entire time at Manly has been marked by niggling if not chronic injury.
Hooray that Paseka has finally started to stand in front of the mirror, but as a starting prop Josh is better than Bull, and he played 22 games which is way better than Sips 13 and Lodges handful.

That was unprecedented and disturbing but bottom line is that the club totally failed to understand the culture of its own players. Des took the fall for that, for publicly calling out the (Penn's) club.
A little like a discussion in another thread about 'the youth of today'... when looking at people's attitudes and beliefs you need historical context to understand how people could ever think a certain way. Doesn't mean attitudes don't need to be challenged of course, but would influence how you might try to go about it.

True but I wonder how many of the other six would have not reacted in the way they did if not agitated by JA.

Turbo looks like he’s bulked up a bit? If so, I like it. Maybe that will somewhat ease the anxiety I feel every time he goes into a collision. Maybe not.

Apart from the injuries, far too many suspensions have really underlined his performance at our club.

Manly is heading towards a record attendance season with seats in the Jane Try Stand and Ken Arthurson Stand at Brookvale Oval already sold out for the entire season.

Around 80 per cent of all grandstand seating has been bought by fans for the entire 12 home games.

More than 15,000 memberships have already been sold with 21 per cent of those being new members.

The club will hold a fan day from 9am this Saturday at College Oval, St Augustine’s College, right across the road from 4 Pines Park.

Probably the wrong thread, but I just want to say the members hat is IMO the best one ever (yes, it may have something to do with fitting my massive melon comfortably!) I’m loving our new emblem too. Just had the chemist chick asking where she can get one for her husband. Didn’t have the heart to tell her they sold out (according to the daughter, and she’s never wrong, just ask her she’ll tell you straight up!🤣).

Agree i have a decent melon. So this is the best fit yet.
