Club News 2024

Interesting story.
When fans call for this and that player to be recruited because of their leg speed/tackle busts etc I often think yeah sure but what's he like as a person to bring into the Manly club?
Fairly well known that Bellamy is highly involved in assessing recruits for 'character' and that seems to work, for him anyway.
Lawton won't be easy to replace, but I'm glad we're not jumping at the first possible, hopefully it means we're waiting to get the right person for the job. (possibly too optimistic!)

Be sad to see the lawman go. As well as being a handy footballer he seems a really good and positive bloke. 👏🏻

The Lawman experience at Manly reminds me so much of Dylan Walker's... never had a chance to settle into his best position, but constantly filling in elsewhere. We seem to have a penchant for this. You can see the lack of clarity around playing people in their best positions and letting them develop there. Garrick is another one that currently worries me.

Or the retention people could have just reviewed his highlight reel, going back to 2021, and agreed to keep him.

Bad decision allowing of one of the team’s real goers to leave.

Thank you feathered friend @The Wheel for the Croker characteristics of Integrity and Respect Story ...

We have not won a Premiership since 2011 and since then we have had a lot of good blokes in our Manly teams that have not been good enough players to contribute to another Manly premiership win

The Ultimate Respect any player can earn from our passionate fans and our Legendary club is earning a Manly Premiership Win
Lower our Legendary clubs Great Premiership winning standards
and we stand for nothing Great

THE ULTIMATE RESPECT
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM
LETS WE FORGET

@The Wheel
I am tired of hearing about Manly Good blokes
I want to hear about some Bad Manly Mother fckers that can win another Manly Grand final
and put our Legendry club back on the high pedestal where it proudly belongs !

I really rate our Lawman. I don't know how much he's on cap wise, but dam I can't see us recruiting a better back rower. Hooker just isn't his best spot. And the Cows have back row galour. He'll be hooking next year.

Interesting theme tune: ‘Paint It Black’.*

Is that a tacit admission that the Panthers are the likely premiers?

*Could have been worse. They might have chosen ‘Sympathy For The Devil’.
