Club News 2024

Woods had a Great Career . He was Good enough to play for his State and for his Country and you can not do any better than that
He should have retired a few years earlier. The pace of the new game made him look a lot older than he was
We wish him and his family many years of happiness in the future

Good on Woodsie. He's sure had quite a footy career and has done it all.

Saying he fulfilled his dream to play for Manly is awesome. Even has a Manly tatt while playing elsewhere!

What I admire most about him is instead of just playing for the money, he played for the genuine love of Manly and used his experience to help the younger guys. I hope he continues to and I wish him all the best.

Well said.

Apparently Aaron Woods said on his podcast, where he announced his retirement, that Brad Parker is retiring too. I guess it's official now. 🙁
Unofficially official. Would be pretty funny if it's a gee up. but I don't think so though. You watch how Parker celebrates after he scored on the weekend. Add Scorpio was then given the goal kicking honours. Add Woodsies comment. Officially unofficial.

The Brookvale based 4 Pines Brewing Co have committed to plant 100 native trees, shrubs or grasses for every try scored by the Sea Eagles in 2024.
Ironically, Pine Trees (Pinus Radiata) are not native to Australia.

Can one of you “tech geniuses” get through the paywall please, apparently there’s a story on Manly “handing a lifeline” to a half.Unless someone already knows who they’re referring to

Tanah Boyd maybe? I don't know just having a guess. He's been told by Titans he's free to sign elsewhere.

SEA EAGLES THROW FORGOTTEN HALF A LIFELINE
Manly are set to throw a lifeline to injured half Ronald Volkman with the parties close to agreeing to a deal for next season.

The Sea Eagles are keen for Volkman to join the club next season – potentially on the supplementary list – in a bid to strengthen their halves depth.

Volkman wants to resurrect his NRL career after this season was a complete write-off following a shoulder injury which needed to be repaired. He had agreed to join St George Illawarra from the Warriors this season but the injury scuppered the deal.

Volkman, 22, played five NRL games for the Warriors in 2022-23.

The Sea Eagles have stars Luke Brooks and Daly Cherry-Evans locked in for next season while back-up half Jake Arthur hasn’t played first grade this year and has not featured in NSW Cup since round 12 because of injury.

The Sea Eagles lose half option Jamie Humphreys to South Sydney next season.
