Clappy Waddell

Please Tony, for the love of God drop this bottom of the barrel fill in to NSW Cup.

Promote Schoup who will do a better job at backrow and centre than this last resort no one else is available middle forward. Come on now Spoon, don't be fooled by the hand clapping enthusiasm he performs before receiving the ball. It's an act of bastardry to deceive the masses into believing he adds enthusiasm. It's a lie Tony much like your coaching potential.

The three amigos of provocative engagement takes. You're like clickbait article writers, but you don't make money off advertising, so I don't even know why you do it. Have to respect it. You're day one haters.

I like to imagine, that you all wake up every morning, and throw darts at a picture of Seibold, and mutter throughout the day about how rubbish his selections are. I'd hate to be near you people after a breakup...

Anyway, why on earth do we need a new thread for Corey. We already have enough spam after every loss.

Rock bottom, why has Navael fallen of the radar?
Lodge would have been good last night and adjust the bench.
Can’t be that hard! Seibold keeping certain players happy to keep his job.
Well, he wont have a job if this garbage keeps up and then he wont have anyone to please. And the boys showed fighting spirit, um but we still lost. Seinfeld says something and DCE comes back with, Siebs virtually covered it, in other words he has nothing. l reckon they get together before they go out for the presser and rehearse what they are going to say

Why is it so hard to understand? Are you really this slow. One more time.

I DON'T RATE OUR COACH. I NEVER HAVE. MY REASONING HAS BEEN POSTED ALREADY. I DON'T THINK WE WILL EVER WIN A COMPETITION UNDER ANTHONY SEIBOLD AND THAT IS WHAT WE NEED TO BE ASPIRING TO. BUT YOU REFUSE TO ACCEPT THIS VIEW AS BEING PLAUSIBLE FOR A MANLY FAN. THE ISSUE IS THEREFORE YOURS. I WILL CONTINUE CALLING FOR A BETTER OPTION OR EAT A SHIIT LOAD OF EGGS IF COACH TONY SOMEHOW PROVES ME WRONG.

You won't alter my opinion just as I won't change yours. I want Manly to do well and believe we need someone else in the hot seat to better assist in turning around our fortunes.

77 minutes - 15 of those at centre
19 runs
164 metres, 62 of those post-contact
1 line break
28 tackles
6 missed tackles (see the part about him being at centre)

These are not the kind of numbers you throw a bench forward under the bus for after a loss.
What about the 7 missed tackles against the Eels. Missed tackles in both matches that led to trys. 28 tackles with six misses. More than 1 missed in every 5. His level is NSW Cup and a bottom end back up middle. Not a mainstay in the game day squad. That's the real issue

Spare me.
Those are just the facts, you can make of them what you will.

nrl.com has him down for 2 missed tackles in that match, not 7:

He is a second rower playing in the prop rotation, playing 15 minutes in an unfamiliar role of centre. I don't think it was beyond the realms of possibility that he was going to miss tackles. But none of the remaining fit players could or did fill in there when needed, so we don't know how they would have fared.

As for the Parramatta game:
80 minutes
12 runs
106 metres - 39 of them post-contact. This was more than Brown, SST and Bullemor, and 3 metres less than Lodge.
1 line break
2 offloads
36 tackles
2 missed tackles + 1 ineffective
2 errors and 1 penalty conceded. He was not alone here

He is not on a lot of coin and is a bench player in a fully fit squad. In my opinion there are several key problems in our squad I don't think he is one of them.

My point is he has no place in the top squad unless the cupboard is bare. The excuse after the Eels game was that he is a middle playing out of position in the second row. The point is, he is our first choice replacement for Ben and Olakuatau. Which is criminally negligent in a squad of 30 plus players. He should be at the very bottom end of a top 30 squad, not racking up appearances like an important first team player. That is on Seibold. Clappy being a regular is an embarrassment to all true Manly loving fans.

So against the Eels Corey gave away 1 penalty, Had 2 missed tackles 1 handling error, and 1 general error during that performance. I recall him getting burnt on several occasions without even laying a hand on a player. Watch the extended highlights. He is bottom of the barrel, filler.

Has Seibold ever dropped anyone in our team based on performance? About time to be a bit ruthless I say drop Waddell back to NSW Cup. He would be there only for Siua and Paseka being injured. Time to see what some on the NSW Cup forwards can do on the bench!

We lost that match by 20 points and 8 Manly players were credited with errors in that game. But he also made 36 tackles (more than all but 2 Manly players) and made more metres with the ball than several other Manly forwards.

Waddell was pretty good in his 53 minutes off the bench against the Broncos only last week and the stats available on nrl.com will back that up.

You're entitled to your opinion, but as a bench forward, I think he is fine for the money he is on and the output he is providing.

Did you stop to think we may just be doing our bit to help Dan maintain his no doubt extravagant jet setting lifestyle? Clicks mean dollars. What have you got against Dan earning a living?

For mine...

Wadell is a good squad middle, shouldnt be top 17, shouldnt be on the edge.

Centre....oh lord

Exactly.

And probably wouldn't be in the 17 without injury to Paseka an Josh A.

Wouldn't be on an edge, without Burbo moving to centre to cover mid game injury.

Wouldn't be at centre, without having to cover another midgame HIA

How do people think we fill a 30 man squad without the Waddell type players ofvthebworld?

Certainly, Seibold invokes less excitement than a dental appointment. It should come as no surprise that his disciples like to keep everything low key and inclusive. They are like vanilla milkshakes made with skim milk and dairy free ice cream. Safe to drink for everyone yet lacking flavour and we'll short of the real thing.
