Supposedly the harsh grading & subsequent suspension for T-Rex was to send a message out to the players that spear tackles, tackles gone wrong needed to be wiped out of the game. As ever the only consistent factor is the inconsistency shown by the nrl. The only message this has sent is, if you play for some teams you can basically do whatever you like and playing for other teams (Manly in particular) we will cruxify you.
